Features of EMC

EMC is a lightweight filler with good handling while taking advantage of the unique properties of plastic microspheres.
Unlike other inorganic hollow fillers (such as glass balloons), it has excellent elasticity, pressure resistance, and heat insulation.

Excellent elasticity

EMC deforms when pressure is applied and returns to its original sphere when pressure is removed.
Please press EMC in a sample bag with your fingers firmly.
It never collapses.
Rather, you will understand the elasticity of EMC due to which it is pushing back.
Due to the excellent elasticity of its particles, there is little crushing or cracking during processing, which results in stable quality after mass production.
In addition, Spray Painting can apply without the particles being collapsed.

Excellent pressure resistance

EMC can withstand considerably high pressures. In our tests, it withstands even a high pressure of 25Mpa x 30min. On the other hand, microspheres consisting of inorganic hollow particles (glass micro balloons) have glass outer shells, so the balloon itself is not elastic and will break if a certain amount of pressure is applied.
EMC absorbs the pressure by deforming itself, so it returns to its original state without being crushed.
By adding EMC, new properties such as elasticity, cushioning and shock absorption can be added to base materials.

Excellent heat insulation

It is reported that EMC has a hollow structure, which has a low thermal conductivity and has the effect of efficiently reflecting the near-infrared area in sunlight.

With these double effects, heat shield and heat insulation properties are added simply by adding EMC to paint. Also, if you apply a thick coat of it to the interior wall material, you can expect the effect of preventing dew condensation.

  • Check if EMC is suitable to your product by tour inspection when it is delivered to you before using.
  • Scattering of EMC is considerably reduced compared with a plastic microsphere itself, but wear dust mask and goggles for safety when using EMC.
  • Calcium carbonate has possibility of separating a little from the plastic microsphere.
